Youth mela held across RD blocks in Kiphire district

As part of extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in the aspirational districts, youth mela was held across five RD blocks of Kiphire district on July 18 to 19.  
A press release from RD Block Kiphire said that, under Deen Dayal Updhyaya Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), the skill development and placement program of Ministry of Rural Deveopment (MoRD), Government of India, Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods conducted the youth mela where educated as well as uneducated unemployed rural youths gathered at the block headquarters to witness awareness program on skill development and placement. 
The youth mela at block headquarters was led by DRDA Kiphire project officer Razukhru D. Vasa and NSRLM assistant district program manager Kiphire district Albert Yandongse.
Under DDU-GKY, rural youths in the age group of 15-35 years can undergo skill development and placement free of cost which is inclusive of food, accommodation, uniforms, learning materials and one-time travel to place of placement.
Currently, five PIAs namely, Nagaland Tool Room and Training Center, Pinnacle Skills, Dum Dum Bangiya Vidyapeeth, Gyanjyoti Foundation and E Centric have been assigned to train and placement target of 3940 rural youths for skill training and placement. 
Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission would also be organizing one day job fair in Kiphire on July 30 in collaboration with the YouthNet.
