In a rejoinder to the news item “4 charged for pig smuggling”, Kushiabill Kachari Community (KKC) has clarified that the two accused persons, among the four, were not residents of Kushiabill village. In a statement, KKC chairman, Dharma Dhaj Sonowal said the accused– Bipul Mech and Arun Boro, in their statement to the police, gave wrong addresses. KKC refuted their claims and warned them not to be involved in such activities which defamed the image of the community.
