61st raising day celebration of Border Roads Organisation

 The 61st raising day of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) was celebrated at Hq project Sewak, Dimapur on May 7 with a host of activities. The event was also conducted along with “Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” celebration.

A press release by Dimapur headquarters project Sewak stated that the flagging off in the motorcycle expedition on May 7, chief engineer (CE) RK Saha congratulated the team led by Capt Sumit Dahiya for successfully carrying out the expedition within the project Sewak areas.
It may be mentioned that a motorcycle expedition was flagged off on May 4 to create awareness on road safety measures and COVID-19.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief engineer exhorted all the ranks to continue their work with enthusiasm and diligence.
He also highlighted the importance of following COVID-19 protocols while carrying out their duties. 
While conducting the programme, Col SK Mishra, SM, director (works) shared the details of various activities which were conducted in purview of the celebrations.
He also brought out the details of personnel who had performed various duties during the pandemic.
While appreciating the personnel, the chief engineer later awarded them with prizes and certificate.
Medical camps were also organised across various locations in Nagaland and Manipur under the aegis of Project Sewak where nearby residents were given consultation and medicines were provided to all the patients.
