Public Coordination Committee (PCC) has threatened launch a “hunger strike” outside the state Assembly complex from December 15 if the state government failed to fulfil their core demands by December 14, when the winter session of the NLA commences.
In a press note, PCC media cell reminded the government to revoke the October 26, OM that scrapped Grade III posts from the purview of NPSC, to set up Lokayukta as per the demands of ACAUT and to declare answer keys for all stages of exams conducted by NPSC.
It further demanded that the state government declare the actions taken and make it known to the Naga public in the local dailies on December 15.
PCC has therefore appealed to all right-thinking citizens of Nagaland to volunteer and show solidarity in this fight for equal opportunity and meritocracy; against corruption, nepotism and injustice.
NSF submits memo to CM
Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has submitted a memorandum to the chief minister demanding that the October 26, 2017 Office Memorandum (OM) be revoked.
The memorandum signed by NSF president, Kesosul Christopher Ltu and general secretary, Imtiyapang Imsong called attention to the OM whereby the state government had withdrawn all class III non-gazetted posts under pay band of Rs. 2800 from the purview of NPSC except for Secretarial Assistance.
NSF opined that this was not justified and was against the interests and welfare of the student community and aspiring students. They also demanded that all the exam advertisements made by various departments for posts whose grade pay are Rs. 2800 and above should be kept in abeyance. NSF also said that these demands should be addressed immediately.
