Superintendent of Police, Peren has issued a public advisory regarding ongoing day and night firing practice by ‘C’ and ‘F’ Companies of the 9th Assam Rifles, stationed at Peren and Pedi Post.
The training exercises, which began on May 1, will continue until May 31, 2025. Authorities have urged nearby villagers to avoid venturing into the designated firing range areas in Peren and Pedi. Residents have also been requested to ensure that cattle do not stray into these zones during the firing sessions.
