Governor, others condole demise of Mangko Phom

Messages of condolence have poured in for late Y. Mangko Phom’s family. Leading them, Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya in a condolence message to late Mangko’s wife, Mrs. Sikhlong Phom, expressed sadness over the demise of Y. Mangko Phom, former Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) president.
Acharya said late Y. Mangko Phom was a dedicated social worker, veteran politician and had served the society in different capacities including as president of ENPO. 
He was a great human being and was respected not only by his tribal community but also by all others, he said. Acharya along with his wife while conveying heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Sikhlong and the family, prayed to the Almighty to grant strength to bear the irreparable loss and for the departed soul to rest in peace. 
Ao Senden: Ao Senden has expressed grief and sympathy over the demise of Y. Mangko Phom, former ENPO president. In a condolence message, Ao Senden president Imolemba Jamir and general secretary S. Panger Ao said described late Mangko Phom was a man of great dignity who worked tirelessly towards the good relation of all Naga tribes. The Senden prayed that the bereaved wife and family find solace.
NSCN/GPRN kilonser: NSCN/GPRN Lots & Agriculture kilonser, Meyong Phom has expressed deep pain over the demise of Y. Mangko Phom, former PCC and ENPO president.
Stating that late Mangko was the best friend of his father and father-in-law of S. Pangnyu Phom MLA 50 A/C Longleng, Meyong said as a dedicated social leader, he served the society in various capacities.
Meyong said Mangko, the second graduate among the Phom, was a pioneer of Phom community and a strong supporter of the Naga national causes.
He said his demise was a huge loss to the Phom people, particularly the Eastern Nagas. Meyong, along with his family conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to let the departed soul rest in peace.
