Nagaland University observed its 14th Foundation Day on September 6 at the administrative office building, Kohima.
The University, which was bifurcated from the then North-Eastern Hill University became a Central University on September 6, 1994. Professor Krishnamoorthy Kannan, Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University unfurled the flag on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chancellor said Nagaland University foundation day was a turning point in the academic pursuit and commitment to strive for development and in achieving higher education of the university.
He also assured Nagaland University would bring more attraction and help for the students in the years to come.
The programme was attended by the Nagaland University officials, staff and students.
