State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds the finance portfolio on Tuesday, said that the state plan outlay for the current year 2008-09 stood at Rs. 1200.00 crore, as approved by the Planning Commission, Government of India.
In a written reply to I. Imkong, MLA over un-starred question, the chief minister said that under the non-plan, the amount of Revenue Gap Grant was projected at Rs. 1168.17 crore, while the detail break-ups of the funds distribution sector/department wise were Agri & allied- Rs. 10535.00 lakhs; Rural Development-Rs. 8572.00 lakhs; Special Area Programme- Rs. 8094.20 lakhs; Irrigation- Rs. 6671.00 lakhs; Energy- Rs. 10265.00 lakhs; Industries & Minerals- Rs. 5621.00 lakhs; Transport- Rs. 5717.23 lakhs; Science & Technology- Rs. 891.00 lakhs; General Economic Services- Rs. 24574.81 lakhs; Social Services- Rs. 34188.26 lakhs; General Services – Rs. 2047.00 lakhs and Non-Dev.
