To instill interest for mathematics and Science among students, the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Kohima on Friday conducted a Mathematics and Science Exhibition. Students from classes 8-12 exhibited about 175 models and projects on Science and Mathematics.
Declaring the exhibition open, chief guest for the programme, Francis Pelevituo Solo, commissioner and secretary, Higher Education, called upon the students to develop scientific inquiry which would contribute towards the development of science and mathematics in the society.
Stating that students produce poor result in Mathematics and Science due to negative mindset towards the subjects, he also urged the students to develop a positive mindset which he assured would produce positive results.
The chief guest also encouraged the students to widen their horizon for better job prospects, and not be confined to the common professions.
Guest of honour for the occasion, Dr. Zavei Hiese also exhorted the students. The programme was attended by DIS Kohima, V. Meyase, parents, students and students from other schools.
