The inaugural programme was held at ICFAI administrative building behind Super Market.

Assuring all possible support both from the DMC and his personal side, DP Angami urged the Foundation to introduce more ACLs in different pockets of Dimapur.
Alpha Foundation, a registered chartable trust, was established with a mission to work for the uplift of the poor and the underprivileged sections of society, especially children, in urban slums and backward areas in the country.
The ACLs run by the Foundation focuses on formal and non-formal education, vocational training, adult literacy, health services and community welfare services.
Assistant manager, Alpha Foundation Dimapur, Biren Singh gave an introduction on ACL and its main objectives.
Centre head, ICFAI Dimapur, Dr. Charles P Alexander also spoke on the occasion.
The Foundation has opened four ACLs in Dimapur including two each at East Block and United Block, Burma Camp, and is planning to open more centres to cater to the educational needs of people who cannot afford education in private schools.
