Herbert Spencer School Dimapur organized an excursion program to Kolkata under the theme “the world is a book and those who don’t travel read only one page” from October 7-14.
School co-administrator Visie – ü Sogotsü led the excursion team comprising of six teachers and 16 students with the objective to create awareness for the students about the people and places, interest in the history including science and environment.
According to a release issued by KK Newmai, Kolkata was chosen as it is a ‘miracle city’ with trams working on the road, metro rails and buses plying, while exhibiting contrasts of great wealth and poverty, spaciousness and yet with most over crowded slums. During the five days stay at Kolkata, the team visited more than 17 stations, places and centers.
Meanwhile, the school has also expressed gratitude to Rusovil John, member secretary & state nodal officer, National Green Corps, Nagaland for facilitating the excursion and staffs of Dreamers Education Foundation for their assistance in making the excursion successful.
