Financial assistance and handicapped loans were granted to beneficiaries in Tuensang by parliamentary secretary, social welfare and women development Chotisuh Sazo who paid a visit to Tuensang and Mon on October 21. He was accompanied by social welfare director, I. Nochet Aier, joint director Merang and programme officer D.T.H Anthony. According to district welfare officer, Tuensang T. Sangtam, parliamentary secretary and his team visited EMRS School in presence of DC and SDO(C) Tuensang. Sazo highlighted various schemes like SOAP, IGNOAP, destitute women and disabled scholarship.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by district welfare officer, Mon stated, parliamentary secretary and his team visited Old Age Home run by Walo organisation. He lauded the initiatives taken by organisation and urged them to continue with their efforts. The visiting team also visited CDPO office at Aboi.
Further, press release issued by the director stated that while inspecting the ICDS Projects at Tizit, Mon, Aboi, Tobu, Sangsangnyu, Shamator, Kiphire and Meluri he urged the District and Project level Officers and Staff and the ICDS functionaries to ensure that the benefits of the ICDS Programme reaches the most deserving beneficiaries. He further instructed the officials to work for the weaker sections of the society with dedication and compassion while implementing various Departmental Programmes. He also appealed to the public to extend maximum community support for effective implementation of the various welfare Programmes in our state.
