Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mangkolemba block conducted a one day training cum demonstration on winter crops at the office of the Farm Information and Advisory centre (FIAC) Mangkolemba on October 22.
Altogether 39 progressive farmers of vegetable interest group (FIG) from 20 villages under Mangkolemba block attended the training.
Dr. Rongsentemjen Dy. Director Vety & A.H cum convener Mangkolemba block ATMA had deliberated in detail about ATMA and its working system.
He also explained the responsibility of ATMA in technology dissemination activities to the farmers with latest technical method.
The main resource person during the training was Samuel Sangtam, SMS, KVK, Yisemyong. He explained about the method of sowing of different winter vegetables, oilseeds and pulses.
The main attraction of the training was practical session, demonstration on nursery preparation and method of sowing was imparted to the trainees.
After the technical session there was free distribution of winter vegetables seeds, oilseeds and pulses seeds to the farmers.
