Troops of the Assam Rifles conducted a flush out operation in Jotsoma village, some 8 kms away from the State capital Kohima, on Saturday, according to defence sources. On receiving reports that some NSCN (I-M) activists were taking shelter in Jotsoma village, Assam Rifles personnel started combing and search operation in the village and adjoining areas. However, the NSCN (I-M) activists reportedly fled from the village before the arrival of security personnel. There was no arrest made or arms recovered in Saturday’s operation, defence sources added.
