Nagaland Contractor and Supplier Union (NCSU) has appealed the state government to release the remaining balance amount rupees 8,12,96,000/- crores to NCSU registered members in order to clear up the already verified pending bills.
A copy of the memorandum jointly signed by Pele Khezhie president and N. Neilo Koza secretary, addressed to the chief minister stated that the union had earlier submitted pending bills of 26,60,98,000/- crores to the state government during September 2007 for release of payment to NCSU. In this regard the state government released Rs 18,48,02,000 crores to NCSU in order to clear up pending bills. However, the finance department is to release Rs 18, 48,02,000 during the previous year 2007. Reminding the chief minister of his assurance to clear up all liabilities, the NCSU has requested him to look into the matter and release the remaining amount only to NCSU registered members.
The joint memorandum appealed the chief minister for the immediate release of payments especially to NCSU registered members, who represent the bulk in the profession to enable members to prepare themselves for the forthcoming Christmas celebration.
