Yimchunger Baptist Borubo Amukhongto (YBBA) 50th Golden Jubilee celebration got underway here at Shamator town under the theme “maturity in Christ” with Reverend Zhabu Terhuja, general secretary NBCC, Mary Ann Johnston, president Mission possible USA, Rev. O. Alem executive secretary ABAM and Rev. Dr. Kehovi Executive Secretary SBAK as the main speakers during the celebration.
Jubilee monolith stone was unveiled by Rev. Zhabu Terhuja, general secretary NBCC, while jubilee program was dedicated by A. Akhang, executive secretary YBBA. Others who spoke at the function included K. Yamukam ex. Minister and DEO Tuensang, Tohoshe Sumi. About 2500 from 71 churches are attending the celebration which will culminate on October 26. Cultural exhibition were also displayed during the opening function, where 14 villages participated with traditional dances and fire making, spinning, top fight, weaving, etc.
