Agri deptt conducts ATMA workshop

A three day workshop on SREP and ATMA organized by directorate of agriculture in collaboration with MANAGE Hyderabad concluded on October 23 at Sameti Hall IETC Medziphema. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Supong Keitzar, director of agriculture. Resource persons Dr. Ogirala Sudhakar and S. Subramanian oriented the participants on ATMA- its roles and responsibilities, functions of GB, AMC, FIAC, FAC, BTT and FO’s ; promotion of farm school, public private partnership, market led extension and operationlisation of SREP. Highlights on mainstreaming of gender, success stories of ATMA in other states and challenges of role of ATMA in the state were also touched upon during the training workshop. .
Earlier the valedictory function was graced by A.Y Ovung; additional director of agriculture. Altogether thirty participants from Agri and allied departments from all districts of the state attended the workshop.
