Tsungkamneo fest celebrated in Tsg, Dmu

Thulunso group of Tuensang celebrated Tsungkamneo festival, which is one of the important festivals of Yimchungrü with much fervor and gaiety at Tuensang on Friday.
Regarded as a festival of “peace and rich culture” by Yimchungrü people across the state, the festival is celebrated after the post harvest where the rich people invites the different colonies of the village for meal and during which their varieties of rice and vegetables are brought to the ‘Morungs’ that are also followed by presentation of warrior dances.

Meanwhile, at Dimapur with rest of the Yimchungrü community, Yimchungrü Union Dimapur (YUD) has celebrated the Tsungkamneo festival on January 16 with its community in Dimapur.
According to a press release issued by executive chairman, Kiutsu Yimchunger, the celebration started with an invocation prayer by pastor, YBCD, while the significance of the festival was shared by Atsumong, general secretary of the union.
