Tuensang District Mothers Association, (TDMA) on Saturday seized the CSD goods from the shopkeepers. The seized goods were about to be sold with exorbitant rates to public. Talking to this reporter, vice president of TDMA said that they would distribute the seized items to the poor people around the town.
The association alleged that the shopkeepers bought these goods with lower rates and sold it with higher rates to the poor public.
The association also apprised to the Assam Rifles authorities not to sell the goods to the shopkeeper but instead sell it to the needy public for the benefit of the general public.
