Following a government order, Dimapur police Friday seized unauthorized name plates, sirens, red lights with blinkers attached with vehicles in Dimapur.
The checks were conducted around Clock Tower junction area and Walford junction near Super Market from 9 am till 4.30 pm.
Police seized about 22 names plates along with six flag posts from various unauthorized vehicles in and around Dimapur.
The seized names plates included those of President Consumer Society Dimapur, Department of fire and ES, ADC Tobu, Secretary NPF, Joint Director ICAR Government of India, USSC, President INC 4- Ghaspani, President JD(U), SDO (civil) Phomching, Chairman Executive council YTC, Nagaland Development Outreach, NBCC; Chief Medical Officer Zunheboto, Chetheba Town Baptist Church, On GoI Service, Project Director DRDA, Dimapur, on NEC duty, president CRPO, Tuensang, SDO (Civil) Changtongya, DDPH union, general secretary, Dimapur, president RJD, Nagaland; CPWD, Government of India, Deputy superintendent of jail, Rengma Baptist Church; Dimapur, GB’s and DB’s union, along with one USSC flag and five other flag post from various unauthorized vehicles in and around Dimapur.
Dimapur Police has appealed the public to cooperate with its checks in the larger interest of the society.
