Training on ‘Youth Ministry’

Five day training on “Youth ministry” was organised by Rev. Fr. Kapil Kerketta the director of Pastoral Centre in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh with the resource persons, Fr. PX Francis sdb the director Bosco Maangal, Imphal, and Fr. Ranjit sdb, administrator of Don Bosco, Wokha of Salesian Province of Dimapur.
The programme was inaugurated on June 18 by His lordship Rt. Rev. Bishop Frederick D’Souza the Bishop of Jhansi. The important highlights of the seminars included self discovery, self esteem, communication skills, time management, motivation, various learning methods, leadership, the leadership qualities and skills of a leader and tips for the formation of youth groups.
According to Fr. Ranjit Toppo sdb, Don Bosco, Wokha, the participants did enjoy themselves besides equipping themselves for the youth ministry. Vicar General of Jhansi , Fr. Peter Parapullil while extorting at the programme on the concluding day on June 22 stressed the need of youth work in the modern society.
The programme which was organized exclusively for those who are interested in the youth work was participated mostly by priests, brothers, sisters and the lay leaders of Jhansi Diocese including some from the neighbouring dioceses.
