All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) Tuensang unit has brought few points of grievances faced by Hindi teachers to the notice of the directorate of school education (DoSE).
A joint press note issued by ANHTU Tuensang president P. Singh and general secretary I. Imseyangla Chang stated that department has not declared any seniority list for Hindi teachers in GHSS/HTTI centre Dimapur/DSE/DEO/DIS as per requirement.
It urged the responsible authority to stop temporary attachment and declare a seniority list of Hindi teachers and promote qualified teachers as per government criteria. Union also pointed out that teachers’ GPF accounts were affected due to “official mistake” and further questioned the responsible authority as to why it was not informed of the reason for delay in action on the matter even after union submitted complaints through “proper channel” along with necessary documents to AG office.
In this regard, ANHTU Tuensang has urged authorities to keep transparency of procedures. Further, union has appealed for new appointments of Hindi teachers to be made through screening committee or NPSC, and allow nine months ie, from August to April, to substitute appointments against trainees.
