DDCC welcomes new office bearers

A farewell cum handing and taking over programme of the outgoing and newly inducted office bearers was held here at Dimapur District Congress Committee office on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA and former CM, K.L Chishi urged the Dimapur Congress members to be united rather than showing any disunity within the party in the district.
He said the main objective of the members should be to stand together despite difference and to work for up liftment of the party and for the welfare of the congress men and women in the district.
While calling upon the members to bury their differences, Chishi said, “Blame game is over” and negativity should not come amongst them.
He called upon newly elected office bearer of the Dimapur District Congress Committee, to have bigger responsibilities to continue making the district congress party stronger and urged them reach out the grass root level in order to make the party strong.
On defection in Dimapur III A/C. K. L Chishi said circumstances happen in any political party yet fellow party men should work hard with greater efforts.
He further disclosed that Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) would conduct state president election on September 17 to be held at Congress Bhavan, Kohima. I. Imkong, incumbent NPCC president and MLA SI Jamir will contest for the post of the president.
MLAs SI Jamir, Hewoto Awomi and other leaders also spoke on the occasion.
The newly elected DDCC office bearers include Kughato S. Aye as president, who was former general secretary, Nagaland Youth Congress, student leader, former president Hengeo club, A. Kisheto Chishi as vice president, Husuka Zhimo as vice president and Vide Ritse as Treasurer.
