Narula assumes command of 101 Area

SHILLONG, APR 14 (NPN): Lt General VK Narula has assumed charge as General-Officer-Commanding of 101 Area, an official statement said Thursday.
The General Officer relieved Maj Gen AT Parnaik who relinquished the command of 101 Area, as its General Officer Commanding after a tenure of one year and a half and moves to Indian Headquaters of MoD (Army) as the Additional Director General Personnel Services.
Lt General Narula, alumni of National Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy (IMA) was commissioned into the Corps of Artillery in 1974.
The Lt. Gen. has commanded a field formation, a training centre and also has been the Additional Director General Public Information at the IHQ of MoD (Army), the statement said.
