A free anti-rabies vaccination-cum-animal health camp was organised jointly by ATMA, department of LRD and veterinary department, April 13 at helipad, Mon town. The camp was conducted under the guidance of Biren Chetri, PD, ATMA, Mon.
Dr. Chonbenthung Kikon, SMS, ATMA and Dr. A.T. Poangba, WDT member, LRD were the resource persons for the camp.
Deputy commissioner Mon, Dinesh Kumar, IAS, graced the camp.
A large number of people turned up with their pets and a total of 151 dogs and 43 cats vaccinated against rabies.
Medicines, vitamins and mineral supplements were also distributed for another 1350 number of animals and poultry.
