NSCN (I-M) reacts to ‘arrest warrants’

The NSCN (I-M) has reacted to non-bailable arrest warrants issued against two of its associates – TR.Calvin and Hanshi Ramson – by the court allegedly at the behest of government of India.
According to a MIP statement, the joint council meeting of the steering committee members and council of kilonsers, held at Hebron Camp May 3, resolved to condemn the arrest warrants of the two.
“Such act on the part of the GoI clearly exposes the insincerity and hypocrisy of the Government of India and its leaders,” the NSCN (I-M) said.
Asserting that “bilateral cease-fire” between government of India and the NSCN was now running into 14th year and the political dialogue between the two entities was continuing since 1998, the NSCN (I-M) said government of India was talking about peace and solution on one hand and using gun and dagger on the other.
“How long and how many times India would cheat and let down the Nagas??” it questioned, saying “Enough is enough.” The NSCN (I-M) also stated that shooting and arresting Nagas on one pretext and the other should be stopped.
