The Congress unit of Ruzazho village under 19th A/C Phek has resigned en-bloc with immediate effect to strengthen the leadership of Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, minister for health and family welfare.
In a resignation memo released on Friday through the president 19th A/C Phek, Api Vadeo and Nuchocho Keyho, vice president, 19th A/C Phek, the seven signatories led by ex-Congress unit president Vethiru Veswuh, Kuripra Veswuh, vice-president, Thupushosa, general secretary, Shokwuyi Veswuh, joint secretary, Verapra Sapuh, treasurer, Kuvebayi, vice-president, youth wing and Bituyi Veswuh, GB declared the Congress unit ‘dissolved’.
“We have been loyal Congress party workers and have been responsible for electing Congress MLA in the constituency in the past; however, we have no hesitation in admitting that we have not seen any leader contributing as much for the constituency as the present leader Kuzholuzo”, the resignation memo added.
Terming the resignation as a decision arrived at with sound mind and on their own volition; the seven signatories resolved to join the NPF party to strengthen the visionary leadership of chief minister Niephiu Rio and party chief Dr Shurhozelie Liezitsu.
