Nagaland State Co-Operative Bank Ltd. (NSCB) and Chakhesang Women Welfare Society (CWWS) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 30.
The MoU was signed by B.K. Thadani, managing director NSCB and Vechulo-u Kanuo executive director CWWS with a view to cater to the credit need of farming community so as to improve the socio economic condition of the rural people through SHG and JLG in the rural “un-banked” areas of Nagaland and to cover all “un-bank” areas under Phek district.
According to a press release issued by VK Dison nodal officer, NSCB, the bank is taking up such initiatives to cover “un-banked” blocks of the state as per RBI directives on financial inclusion.
The programme was attended by Lalam Doungel GM (Cr) NSCB, V.K. Disong nodal officer, micro finance NSCB and Zecheteu Wetsah program coordinator, CWWS.
