Tenderers demand cancellation of work orders

Tenderers who had competed for tenders for construction of 33 government high school, under RAMSA programme have demanded the authority to review its decision to award works to M/s Sintex Industries, and cancel the work order soon and redistribute the work.
In a representation to RAMSA mission director, the tenderers M/s Hexad Syndicate, M/s Ruokkuo Angami, M/s O Ovung and D.Ruokuo Pienyü cautioned that failure to redress their demand would compel them to take suitable course of action which could include seeking justice from the court of law.
Stating that they had competed for the tender, the signatories said however to their surprise the work was awarded to M/s Sintex Industries Ltd without paying any heeds to the Nagaland Contractor and Supplier Union (NCSU) demand.
They also pointed out that the work order was awarded with much more beyond Nagaland PED schedule rate of 2010.
“It is also doubtful whether the said firm was register under Nagaland PWD and member of NCSU,” they said, and queried “how and why bona fide registered Nagaland PWD contractors are deprived though we have opted to execute work at the rate of Nagaland PWD schedule rate of 2010.”
Further, the tenderers maintained that the authority must have been convinced by the offer of the firm that work would be executed by using readymade walls. They claimed readymade wall was not suitable to the local condition and that durability of such materials was short and high fire risk factors.
