‘Painted Dreams’, a video single by ‘Alobo Naga & The Band’ from Dimapur Nagaland has premiered worldwide on International channel VH1 on August 15, making it the only band from the state to air in an international channel.
The band was formed in the summer of 2010, comprising of Alobo Naga, Akum Jams, DJ Sumika, FungWalling and Theja Khate and since then, they have been trying to create original sounds so as to stand apart from other rock bands in India and has finally come to limelight with their EP being aired internationally.
The music video was produced and conceptualized by Creovaent Productions, Guwahati and has been directed by Prithish Chakraborty and Puja Chakraborty from Creovaent Productions.
The band is endorsed by SPIRIT UNDERGROUND, the company has played an important role in giving exposure to the band.
The record label for the band is U.M (Unicornis Movement) PRO RECORDS – North-East India’s First Independent Record Label who looks after the band’s entire management, promotion and marketing.
The band is managed by Betoka Swu and Prithish Chakraborty.
‘Alobo Naga & The Band’ would be releasing their debut studio outing, titled ‘Painted Dreams’, on September and will be touring to promote their album from September.
It may be mentioned that the band’s title track ‘Painted Dreams’ was chosen as the official song for 1st Guwahati International Short Film Festival.
