New Market Colony Kohima on Thursday launched a new KMC garbage collection vehicle at NMAP hall.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Dr. Kepelhousie Terhüja chairman New Market Area Panchayat (NMAP) urged the citizens to maintain cleanliness and cooperate with KMC sanitation drive programme in the colony.
He also called upon the citizens to maintain responsibility, transparency and accountability.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Viseyie Nakhro, secretary sanitation committee.
The dedicatory prayer was delivered by Vilathie Solo, an elder from the colony.
The KMC garbage collection vehicle will collect the garbage every morning starting 7am.
