Tuli Town Ward Union (TTWU) has appealed to Commissioner Kohima, Nagaland to immediately appoint ADC at Tuli.
A press release issued by secretary TTWU A.N. Among Longkumer and chairman TTWU P.B. Wati Jamir stated that the ADC office has been without ADC for the last eight months, thus creating numerous problems for the public.
They also stated that at present, ADC Mokokchung was officiating in-charge of Tuli Town but expressed inconvenience due to “arduous journey”.
Stating that Tuli shares its boundary with Sivasagar district of Assam, they said it was important that an administrative head was stationed at the office to curb any “unpleasant incident” before it goes out of proportion.
Further, the signatories stated that the appointment of ADC Mokokchung as the in-charge of Tuli was an “unacceptable proposition” as it would never serve the greater causes of the community as a whole.
Tuli Town Ward Union added that the establishment of ADC’s office at Tuli would be nothing more than a “mere mockery” of the administrative system of the state.
