To insist on transparency and accountability in the functioning of public office and to create an awareness to the general public, GBS and village authority enabling them to keep strict vigilant for the effective implementation of developmental activities in their respective villages and colonies under Dimapur district, the District Congress Committee (DCC) Dimapur,  anti- corruption cell has highlighted the work programms of various governmental departmental for the year 2010-2011 budget provision ear-marked for development of Dimapur district.

Moreover, to ensure proper and judiciously execution of project for various new and ongoing works under Dimapur district, the members would physically verify the spot within a month or two to identify the works undertaken by the departments and contractors.
According to DCC Dimapur, it is estimated and approved that `3461.04 and `3423.29 lakh has been sanctioned/approved for new and ongoing works respectively for Dimapur district alone under various department for the year 2010-20l1.

In every financial year, crores of funds were provided from the center as centrally sponsored scheme (CSS) and state ear-marked budget but it hardly served the purpose meant for public welfare and remained only in the file, DCC Dimapur stated adding the state would have been different like its immediate neighbouring states, if thehad NPF led DAN government was truly concerned for public welfare and development.

DCC Dimapur, vice-president, and convener, anti-corruption cell, K. Kisheto Chisihi and DCC Dimapur Kughato A. Aye stated that the department of PWD (R&B) Dimapur Division had sanctioned `570 lakhs in the year 2010 to 2011, for development of Dimapur town roads. Out of the total amount, only `300 was released in the month of June-July 2011, DCC Dimapur claimed adding the money was a “siphoned off” by the party workers and supporters without executing the works. DCC Dimapur further lamented that the pathetic condition of the roads in Dimapur town was a proof and witness of an account, where it was left in the eyes of the public to judge.
