CWO) Saturday demanded capital punishment to the accused Bekuto a.k.a. Beto Zhimomi (21), son of Khehoto Zhimomi of Chekiye village who was allegedly involved in the alleged rape and murder of a 21-year-old girl, Avino, in Kirha village, at Airport Junction , Dimapur on July 21.
The CWO in a press release issued by its general secretary Vimemo Liegise also demanded the accused “be convicted rapist, murderer and robber under IPC.” Further, it appealed to the competent authority to restrict bail peal by any lawyer, group or organisation.
The CWO has also urged the governor and chief minister to take up the case at the highest level. Meanwhile, the Chakhroma women have expressed gratitude to S.P Dimapur, SDPO Dimapur and O.C Diphupar police station and his team in apprehending the accused.
