Physical verification with Photo Electors Rolls (PER) would be carried out in all polling stations by Booth Level Officers with Hd.GBs/Chairman/DBs and Both Level Agents from August 30 to September 8.
Informing this in a press release, Assistant Election Officer-1, Dimapur district, Khekugha Sema has informed all voters of the district that the team would carry out detail verification of each photo and compare with voter’s concerned in order to detect mismatch of photo with actual voter, bogus or non existent voters.
Detailed programme with date of verification to particular polling station would be made available after the office receives PER from head office, added AEO.
Further, AEO-1 has requested all general voters to attend the physical verification in order to avoid unnecessary confrontation with election officials for wrong reasons.
Meanwhile, all registered voters of the district who could not get themselves photographed during 1st and 2nd phase photography campaign have been informed that Designated Photography Location (DPL) has been set up at the office premises of deputy commissioner & district election officer from August 23 to 30 during office hours.
Forms 001A would be made available for out station voters including students studying outside the state for necessary submission of two recent coloured passports (5.3 x 5.3cm) along with duly filled in form and submit to district election office Dimapur before September 20.
