Superintendent of Police Tuensang, Roopa. M, on Friday stressed on the importance of quality education.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest at the 38th freshers’ social of Sao Chang Government College Tuensang at town hall, Roopa said, freshers’ day was the most important event for the student community.
She encouraged students to produce quality result so as to compete at various levels of examination and appealed to the teachers and students to dedicate their service with “truthfulness and honesty” towards the society.
During the freshers’ meet, C. Kaimang Chang BA 1 and A. Kilemla Yimchungru BA 1 were adjudged Mr & Miss Freshers of the college respectively.
The formal session was chaired by Chetei BA 11, prologue and presentation by C. Kelep Chang V/P SCCSU.
Key note address was delivered by S. Chubasangla Principal Sao Chang Government College.
Speech on behalf of seniors was delivered by Sarina Aier BA 11, while speech on behalf of freshers’ was delivered by C. Kaimang BA 1.
Other highlights of the programme were songs, dances and drama etc.
