Reacting to violent incidents that occurred at Merapani (Maratchu) August 14 and August 15, the NSCN (K), Lotha region has warned the Muslim community to take stern action against the culprits failing which the community would be held responsible “if any eventuality arises on this behalf from any organisation.”
NSCN (K) Lotha region chairman K. Vandhan Kyong said “uncivilized act” of one Suro Bhai Ali, within the Lotha soil, has endangered the lives and movements of the innocent people. Condemning August 15 incident wherein one non-local Rakit Hamid allegedly mobilized the mob and damaged the properties of one Yanphamo Murray of Wokha village, Lotha region warned the Muslim community to take stern action against the culprits.
It also appealed the state governments “to do the rightful needs” in the interest of Nagas and Assamese community.
