Chumukedima Timber Association (CTA), tree planters and wood based industries have informed that for the last one year, timber and finished timber goods (moulded beat/frames) were not being allowed for dispatch outside the state without any reason. CTC in this regard, appealed to special investigation team (SIT), New Delhi and state government to look into the matter immediately to allow small scale industries and tree planters for exporting tree farming products and finished goods outside the state by train. CTA further stated that the appeal would made considering the hardship face by tree planters and small scale industries in particulars and wood based industries in general.
