The Red Ribbon club of Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire on Tuesday organized an awareness program on STI, HIV & AIDS and blood donation.
Dr. Keviyani Chucha, MO Sitimi PHC and Dr. Kibang, district immunization officer (DIO), Kiphire was the resource persons.
The program was attended by college students of Zisaji Presidency College Kiphire.
In the programme, Dr. Keviyani Chucha explained on sensitization of STI, HIV & AIDS, the modes of transmission of STI, its route of transmission and declared that Kiphire and Dimapur have the highest HIV positive cases in Nagaland.
District Immunization Officer (DIO), Dr. Kibang, the co-resource person talked on blood donation.
He said blood was the source of life and explained 4 types of blood group to students.
He also encouraged the gathering to donate blood so as to save lives.
The program was chaired by Thoshusie Katiry, program officer, RRC, welcome address by Manoj vice principal of ZPC, song by Tongpise, RRC volunteers and positive testimony by Tia Sangtam from KPNP+ Kiphire.
