Dimapur Cluster Monitoring Committee (DCMC) organized mushroom cultivation training on September 6 at Old Showuba village, sponsored by the Mushroom Development Foundation (MDF) Guwahati.
Altogether 50 farmers from neighbouring villages participated in the training.
Resource person was Pranjal Baruah CEO of MDF Guwahati assisted by Kumjimong, president DCMC, Lakiu Kips, cluster coordinator, Mungtsu, general secretary DCMC and Amen, member DCMC.
During the training, farmers were informed regarding importance of mushroom and economic benefits through its cultivation and were trained how to cultivate mushroom.
Meanwhile, 20 farmers were selected for total sponsorship by the MDF for mushroom cultivation based on the BPL status. Free spawn and HN bags were also distributed to all participants.
