Based on reliable information regarding movement of cache of arms and ammunition of GPRN/NSCN from designated camp Khehoi to Zunheboto, an MVCP was established by 29 Assam Rifles of 6 Sector under IGAR (N).
AR troops intercepted a brick laden truck Regd. No. NL 06 A 3243 in area sign board on Vihokhu-Kuhoboto road. After a chase, the truck was stopped and huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered hidden under the brick and sand.
During this operation cadres of GPRN/NSCN were also apprehended who were identified as ‘ss’ capt Xukivi Sumi (39) son of Lahori Kiba resident of Letsami, Zunhebhoto; L/CPL Kunovi Yeptho (19) son of Khikya Yeptho resident of Natha Old, Zunheboto’ David Nakra (22) driver, so of Mahali Nakra resident of Durgapur, Kokrajhar (Assam), Khalil Ali (25) truck handyman, son of Abdul Rashid resident of Dang, Naogaon (Assam).
The accused along with the recovered items were later handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur.

Amn: Amn 5.56 HK Series-876, Amn 7.62 mm A K Ball- 698,Amn 7.62 mm SLR (BDR)-880, Amn.303 Ball-712, Amn 9 mm ball-55, Grenade No. 36 -2, Grenade Chinese-1, Detonator 4 Sec-2.
