Government high school Sungro under Mokokchung district proved its mettle by bagging the first prize in the inter district science seminar on Thursday.
V. Meyase, director, higher secondary school, directorate of school education in his address admitted that Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyam (RMSA) decided to shoulder responsibility of organizing state level science exhibition 2012 for the first time.
He lauded the organisers for the theme chosen this year – “Energy: Domestic efficient energy generation and utilization” and termed it as a right choice saying conservation of energy was for continuity. Further, the chief guest not only formally declared the science seminar open, but also handed out the prizes to the winners.
Government High School, Sungro under Mokokchung district bagged the first prize, Government Higher Secondary School Mon, bagged second while government High School Dungki, Peren bagged third with a prize money of Rs.10,000, Rs. 5000 and Rs. 3000 respectively.
