Legislators leave for Denmark

Nine members of Legislators Forum on AIDS (LFA) led by its convenor, minister for health and family welfare, Khuzoluzo Neinu (Azo) left for Copenhagen (Denmark) Thursday on an invitation from the Danish government.

Interacting with the media, Azo said that the delegates would be highlighting the state’s situation during the visit and “steps” which were beneficial for the state would be “copied”.

Asserting that the Danish government was the first to initiate political leadership on multi sectorial approach to HIV and AIDS, Azo stated the Danish government also supported  specific approach to HIV and AIDS through national leadership on coordination and also promote stronger political commitment to fight against HIV and AIDS through active dialogue.

The members who are accompanying Azo are deputy speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Ralanthung Yanthan, Dr Chumben Murry, minister for agriculture, Chotisuh Sazo, parliamentary secretary for social welfare, child & women development , Y Patton, parliamentary secretary for geology & mining, irrig. & FC, border sffairs, Chingwang Konyak, H Chuba Chang, Deo Nukhu, advisor, science & technology and LFA coordinator Dr. Vinito.
