Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) under the initiative of its chief executive officer, Imtirenla Jamir carried out road developmental work in the western side of New Market, Dimapur.
The western of the road at New Market had remained inundated with rain water causing immense problem for footpath vendors and pedestrians in the area.
However, soon after the problem was brought to the notice of DMC through local media, the work was immediately taken up on priority and with assistance from GBs and business community of New Market, the earth filling work commenced on Sunday. Dimapur Municipal Council men and machineries were pressed into action for execution of work.
In this regard the business community of New Market, on behalf of the public, has thanked Imtirenla Jamir for taking initiative to give a facelift to New Market.
