Axis Bank Ltd. which has around 1600 branches and 10,000 ATMs countrywide, opened its 49th branch in the northeast region, Wednesday, at Wokha town.
While inaugurating the new branch, SDO (C) Wokha, Nokchasashi, congratulated the bank on opening a new branch at Wokha and wished the bank a successful venture.
Axis Bank ATM, Wokha was inaugurated by DRDA project director Hillo Semp, who expressed hope that the new branch at Wokha would aid towards the economic upliftment of the local populace.
Also speaking on the occasion, DC Wokha Vyasan R, while congratulating the bank on its new venture wished for more ATMs in Wokha town as there were less ATMs in Wokha compared to other important towns of the state.
Axis Bank Wokha branch would be offering internet banking, ATM, international debit card, multi-city cheque book, saving/current accounts, NRO/NRI accounts, foreign remittances and locker facility besides a host of other important services to the denizens of Wokha.
The branch was inaugurated in the presence of Axis Bank North East circle head A.S.R. Krishna, dignitaries and well wishers.
