While inaugurating the second batch of Peace Channel Institute of music art and culture on October 20, chief guest Dr. Khesheto, director indigenous cultural centre said that we need to revive our lost indigenous music, art and culture.
While appreciating the noble initiative of Peace Channel in upholding, protecting and promoting the culture of our people through music, art and cultural activities he said “Love of music has no age bar, life begins with music and ends with music”.
He exhorted the youth to make use of the given opportunity to build up their career. Adding to this, he said that every musician acquires values such as developing their language skills, technical mind, confidence, self esteem, team work, listening skills, synchronizing skill, enhances mathematical skills, become more creative & adaptable, develop positive thinking and problem solving skills.
He urged every youth to look out for avenues forecasting their talents, skills and promoting ones indigenous culture. Rev. Fr. CP. Anto, director Peace Channel exhorted the participants stating that the main objective of the institute was to cater to needs of the school drop outs, children and youth who were talented yet cannot afford to learn music.
He also said that it was the need of the hour for the unskilled youth to become skilled by understanding the importance of skilled training. Other highlight of the programme includes special mucical presentation presented by the first batch, welcome address by Pithungo, Rev. Fr. Thomas John invoked Lord’s blessing, Ashely Theresa presented the Peace Chanel activities and Wobenthung Patton proposed the vote of thanks.
