Drawing attention to Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) statement recently published in local dailies, Naga People’s Front (NPF) 19 Phek assembly constituency Friday said NPCC was totally blinded by “sheer jealousy” and that that they could not see what was happening in Naga society.
According to NPF 19th Phek A/C president Api Vadeo and general secretary Nuchicho Kezho, the health minister had the right to express his opinion that NPF would come back to power.
Also, reacting to NPCC remark that NPF keep tabs on the minister on his itinerary as “chief guest”, NPF unit said many organizations were approaching VIPs to grace functions as chief guest, adding there was nothing wrong for Azo to be the chief guest in any functions and donate anything toward the organizations out of his generosity and willingness for good cause.
On the allegation that Azo was blatantly misusing public office, NPF unit asked both NPCC and a local daily (not Nagaland Post) to produce the evidence as to where, when and how the public office was misused.
Failing to produce the evidence, NPF unit cautioned that legal action would be initiated as the same amounted to “character assassination and defamation of the minister”.
