A day-long training programme on importance and method of vermin-composting was conducted at Aotsakilimi village, under Atoizu block in Zunheboto district by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Zunheboto.Sentimenla SMS (Soil Science) imparted training cum demonstration on vermicomposting.
Farmers were encouraged to take up this organic venture for maintaining soil fertility in a suitable way and also for generating income in general.
Narola Anichari (Home Science) deliberated on safety working measures for the farming community. The training was held on the use of different safety techniques and about good posture to improve the working methods of the farmers.
Later, Dr. Rakesh Kumr Chaurasia, PC Zunheboto imparted training on importance of de-worming in pigs. Visakho Shunyu SMS (Agronomy) imparted training on Alder based farming system which can be utilized for improving productivity of crops. Altogether 35 participants participated in the programme.
