NSCN (I-M) has expressed its anguish over the repeated incidents of violence, particularly sexual violence against women. In a press release, MIP stated that such incident was something that should not be tolerated and condemned by all who valued human morality and dignity.
“It is all the more painful and shameful that violence against women is taking place in our own land,” stated MIP. Further, NSCN (I-M) asserted its heartfelt concern goes to the victims, irrespective of which community the victims belonged to, adding that they bowed their heads in shame.
“Our solidarity is therefore, be kindly acknowledged against any protest to defend the honour and dignity of women,” MIP stated.
