Chakhesang Baptist Church Council held the ‘5th children association’ with the theme: “Jesus, the best friend (John 15:14)” from January 11-13 at Pfütsero Town Baptist Church.
The main speakers were director, Children Ministry, CBCC Edechoi Rose, executive director Resource Centre Dimapur, Rev. Dr. Coppe Mero, executive secretary CBCC Rev. Vezopa Tetseo, lecturer, Baptist Theological College, Rükuzo Rüho, promoter, Children Ministry CBCC, Chinehülü Rhakho. Altogether 2, 410 delegates from 8 different Chakhesang regions attended the programme.
Results of various competitions held during the programme are: solo competition – 1st position bagged by Kuzhathede area followed by Town Area and Dimapur area as 2nd and 3rd place; duet competition – Town Area bagged the 1st position while Chozuba area and Kuzhathede area bagged the 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
In quartet competition, Town Area bagged the 1st prize, 2nd prize by Seceku Area and 3rd prize by Kuzhathede area.
In the theme song competition, Town Area was awarded 1st prize while Seceku Area and Dimapur Area were awarded 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
Town Area, Kuzhathede Area and Dimapur Area bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the guitar ensemble competition while in worship dance competition, Dimapur area bagged the 1st prize, 2nd by Phek and 3rd by Chokri area.
In the folk dance category, 1st was bagged by Seceku Area, 2nd by Chozuba Area, 3rd by Tizü Area. In prepared speech competition, Chozuba Area bagged the 1st position, Dimapur Area bagged the 2nd position while Town Area bagged the 3rd position.
Further, Dimapur Area was adjudged winner of the recital competition and group champion award was given to Town Area.
